Leadership Minute: People Business

John D. Rockefeller said, “The ability to deal with people is as purchasable a commodity as sugar or coffee and I will pay more for that ability than for any other under the sun.” In leadership it is absolutely essential to be able to deal with people. To be sure, there are some people more difficult to deal with than others so how you treat them makes a difference. What sets you apart in your leadership is your ability to deal with people effectively. Are you ready to step up your leadership skill? Treat people with respect. Treat them fair. Be consistent.

One Response to Leadership Minute: People Business

  1. Frank Variola says:

With one exception. Greed, some leaders lose sight of what they have purchased, they think they own that purchase. when in reality that is just the not true. A true leader does not demand flexibility, “must be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays”. They think they have purchased a machine with no life. Lets get one thing straight, treat people as you would want to be treated and everyone prospers, those people will go out of there way to perform and earn every bit of their rewards. Take advantage and no one wins.
